Tümkan Işıltan is currently the Country President of bp Turkey, based in Istanbul. He represents bp in country and is responsible on behalf of all bp businesses present in country, for maintaining bp’s reputation, communications, and security. He has sole authority for relationships and advocacy with governments, regulators, media, national oil & gas industry associations and NGOs.

Tümkan plays a leading role in local crisis and continuity management, leads the Country Support Team and is responsible for the maintenance of the Country Support Plan. Ensures appropriate corporate governance in-country, including local fiduciary obligation. Primary responsibility for local subsidiaries’ governance and regulatory compliance, sits on any subsidiary Boards in-country, and oversees the appointment of other local directors.

Tümkan joined bp in 2000 and has an extensive experience in finance and strategy; he worked as Financial Analyst, Performance Manager and Controller, Cluster Loyalty Manager, Strategy Manager and CFO. Before his current role, he was the Retail Operations Manager of Turkey.

Tümkan is married with two children. He graduated from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, BS in Civil Engineering with an honours degree and holds a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University, Boston.
